This video turned out to be longer than expected, it focuses on how to set up a vTask on the ESP32 under ESP-IDF. This task is then used to ‘poll’ the state of a GPIO.

Tasks are an essential mechanism for running multiple jobs at the same time.
As with other videos in this series we are focusing on using the ESP-IDF framework instead of Arduino.
The setting up of tasks is something that shouldn’t put people off from using the ESP-IDF. They are easily mastered and are extremely powerful.
