Описание: An overview of recent clinical research by the Justice Health Adolescent Health team in NSW youth custody

Speakers:
Dr Leigh has been working as a paediatrician, researcher and medical administrator in Justice Health for 18 years. She has an interest in translational clinical research and population-based studies that improve outcomes for all young people in contact with the criminal justice system.

Ms Nyongesa is conducting her industry engagement PhD research studies in Justice Health NSW as an associate investigator on the critical topic of Virtual Oral Healthcare in New South Wales custodial settings. Caroline holds a Master of Public Health degree from the University of Newcastle; a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, Psychology, and Communication and a Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery. Caroline’s research interests include health technology, equity, and access to care.

Dr Nicola Sutton is an experienced senior dental officer who has work in many Australian health jurisdictions including rural settings. She has performed the role of Clinical director oral health and senior oral health advisor in Justice Health NSW. Dr Sutton has interests in teaching, research and oral health advocacy for young people in custody, in particular increasing their access to care and preventative oral health programs.
