Blockhead Motors HotShot II Build Series! - Step 16 - Attaching the Front Stabilizer

Описание: In 1985 Tamiya released their first 4WD chassis...the HotShot! - It was cutting edge at the time and in 1987 Tamiya released the HotShot II. Visually, its main difference was the paint and decal changes and the fact that now the car had two shocks on the rear end vs the single, more complicated setup, monoshock of the HotShot. In time the original HotShot would be rereleased but the HotShot II wouldn't make an appearance again until 2024!

That being said, BlockHead Motors, having released the BlockHead version of the wild one only months before, came out with their version of the HotShot II. For most Tamiya enthusiasts, this version of the HotShot II was disappointing. Why? Because Tamiya fans have been screaming for the rerelease of the HotShot II for years and when they finally get it it's a BlockHead Motors version. Not only that, but the BlockHead motors version has a raised, and more realistic, cockpit for the driver which wasn't at all what the original HotShot II was all about. So at the time of writing this, the BlockHead Motors version of the HotShot II has had a love it or hate it response.

Well after reading an article about this car in Radio Control Car Action I decided that I loved it! - Not because it was trying to be a HotShot II but because it was a great car in it's own right. That being said, since this car came out Tamiya announced it would be rereleasing the HotShot II as it was back in 1987 so this year will see a lot of these sold all around the world.

So, let's get to building this awesome Blockhead Motors version of this iconic Tamiya 4WD car!
