Dr HQ Nala had a passion to use music as an instrument-vehicle to carry the deepest expression of the human's heart to God and to equip people that have a similar passion with the ability to make music. In 1998, Tehillah Singers was born in the city of Durban as worship team in a church where Dr Nala is a Senior Pastor and Founder. He founded the team; since then him and his wife Ntoh Nala has widely travelled leading praise and worship, composing songs, and directing all Tehillah songs' shows.
The group's first album was, recorded in 2002 entitled "Afrika Shayingoma". The second album "UDumo Glory" was, recorded in August 2006. Both these CD's were, recorded live in the Durban Playhouse. Based on the success and the demand that was established for this kind of music and shows, it was decided to make Tehillah Songs an annual event and have tour around the country and beyond the boarders of South Africa.
The group is made of thirty (30) voices, six (6) band members, two (2) string members, four (4) wind instruments and fifteen (15) dancers.
Having gone through all the teething problems in the past, the group has grown and so as their vision and they are excited to look forward to staging more shows.

The meaning Tehillah
Tehillah is Hebrew word meaning to sing aloud, to sing new songs and to sing forth praise. According to Nala, Tehillah is a special kind of singing; it is not an ordinary singing but a supernatural one.

Vision
To sing a special kind of singing (spiritual songs) and make heavenly melody through singing praises to our Lord.

Mission
