Voices of Today, the New Face of Salone" is a documentary that follows the youngest cabinet in Africa and probably the world during their first week in Office.
On a continent where the median age in 19 and the leadership age is 63, in Africa, young people have for so long been crying to be given the opportunity to lead.
In Sierra Leone, following a contentious election on June 2023, President Julius Maada Bio appointed the countries youngest and most diverse cabinet in the countries History. Placing young people in 80% of the governments strategic positions. The Chief Minister/Prime Minister, David Moinina Sengeh is only 36 and probably the world's youngest Prime Minister.
Ms. Salima Mornoma Bah, the new Minister for Communication, Innovation and Technology is 32, the Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Development, Timothy Musa Kabba, Minister for Agriculture and Food Security, Henry Musa Kpaka, the Minister for Information and Civic Education, Chernor Bah and many more were some of the young people, under 40 years appointed.
These young people, against the scepticism of giving youth powerful leadership roles, are faced with the challenge of removing their country from the bottom of the Global Development Index and shifting the negative narrative and stigma that surrounds it.
