However, in most cases, buzzing is actually due to the face of the guitar dropping slightly from a lack of humidity. To maintain proper playability, always keep your string height at 3/16" from the 12th fret to the bottom of the big E string. If you’re below that, especially if you’re a heavy-handed player, you’re likely to experience buzzing. Remember, Zager guitars are made of solid wood and are sensitive to weather changes. That’s why keeping your guitar properly humidified is crucial. Using our "towel method" (placing five damp towels inside the guitar and sealing the soundhole) can help restore moisture and fix most buzzing issues.
