Tesla Autopilot demo on UK roads (HW3) and how it differs from others.

Описание: This video is a short demonstration of how Tesla Autopilot works on a twisty UK road without white lines or kerbs. In most cases, semi-autonomous tech like this is intended only for motorways and dual carriageways only. But Tesla's standard Autopilot is capable of so much more. In this case, I'm driving on an A-road, but it is a minor A-road (A4183 Oxford Road out of Abingdon) without any white lines in places and Autopilot doesn't disengage when there's no lane markings. It also stays engaged in a sharp corner where it slows down and displays "Curvature Assist Active", which is keeping it compliant with our UNECE rules.
The Tesla is capable of so much more, but our laws restrict how Autopilot operates in the UK. In other parts of the world, the same car with HW3 can do supervised full self driving.
The vehicle in this video is a 2024 Tesla Model Y RWD (MCU3/Ryzen/HW3) with the 62.5kWh (60,5 kWh usable) LFP battery and at the time of filming this running on software version 2026.2.6.
