The shattered lands have fused into a single vast continent — not ancient, not healed, but newly alive. Roots tear through stone and steel alike. Forests move. Storms think. Nature isn’t evil… it’s curious, hungry, and learning how to exist.

The arcane wonders of the old age are dead. Skyships no longer sail. Crystal engines lie silent. In their place, steam and iron rise — fragile machines pushed into a frontier that refuses to stay tamed.

And then there are the Rootborne.

One in twenty people born since the Reforging carries a connection to the land itself. Visions. Instincts. Powers that surface under stress. Some hear whispers in the roots. Some dream of places that don’t exist yet. Some feel the world respond to their presence.

The great factions circle each other — rail barons, frontier marshals, technocrats, mystics, and outlaws — all trying to claim a world that may not belong to anyone yet.

This is a frontier western fantasy of steam and soil, politics and prophecy, progress and wild growth.

The world isn’t ending.

It’s being born.

And like any newborn… it doesn’t yet know its own strength.
