a learning curve in bookbinding - first time using a curved needle

Описание: welcome to this week bookbinding vlog where for the first time i made a 400+ page dotted journal using a curved bookbinding needle. the process is quite meditative. i hope it brings you moment of calmness and/or focus you need.

there is a short section starting at 13:55 detailing my struggle using the curved needle for the first time. my take on curved needles is they are quite handy when it comes to weaving the thread between the signatures but the curvature nature of needle makes it hard for me to navigate through the binding holes.. i hope it will get better with time..

i would love to know your thoughts on bookbinding with curved needles vs. regular sewing needles.
