Описание: One of the most challenging aspects of a business selling product has to be packaging, finding the most eco conscious options available. But still meeting many criteria: presenting products beautifully, protecting it on long journeys around the world, dispense it effectively for us and most importantly with products as organic as ours – keeping it fresh.

Our iconic blue glass is made in Yorkshire to keep the carbon footprint down, all paper and card is FSC certified and we’ve long worked with the World Land Trust to carbon balance gift boxes and cartons, they in turn buy, restore and protect vulnerable habitats around the world.

Plastic’s an issue not so easy to solve, we’re not perfect but we are constantly moving forwards. In fact, we’ve always used PCR plastic in products up to 200ml in blue, this is recyclable too. Even better, our 950ml bottles and 200g jars are imminently changing to PCR too – for a while you may see a mixture whilst we use up old stock to avoid waste. Some of our products with pumps are available as a pumpless option, even our herb bags in store are made of wood pulp!

The news here though is our caps, you can see they’re now matt black with the logo debossed. Black plastic notoriously isn’t recyclable but we’ve done a couple of things to improve them. We’ve increased the recycled plastic content to 30% and the lids are non-carbon black. Meaning they’re detectable by the Near Infra-Red scanners used in waste sorting processes, meaning you can pop your lids in with other plastic recycling. You’ll see the lids changing over as we run out of the old style silver embossed version.

You do still need to check your local councils recycling policy first, as they still tend to differ around the country.
