#4: Long delays are not helpful

They say absence makes the heart grow fonder. Well, not if you're waiting over two years during the Covid pandemic for your fiance to finally make it to the United States.

#5: Cultures can clash

Relationships between people from different cultures can be incredible. But cultures can clash, especially if you don't take the time to really know and understand the culture of the person you're getting engaged to.

#6: Get real

Many of the Americans on this show are very likable, but I felt sorry for them. They seem to have deluded themselves into believing that a relationship that couldn't possibly work as a marriage might somehow work out.
