I went on a hike to visit Lieutenant Dan. Lt. Dan is the largest ponderosa pine tree in BC. It is located just a few KM outside of Castlegar. The hike to get there is beginner friendly, and only takes a few hours in total to view the tree and the additional viewpoint. Its well worth the hike if you're in the area!
