In this video, I thought it would be fun to make a simple, yet practical, project that anyone can do. I love using the Arduino Nano whenever I can because it is small and easy to work with. I also found that the Nano breakout adapter is extremely useful and will purchase one with each Nano I buy in the future. I connected the HC-SR04 sensor at the bottom of my meter so it would detect the flat surface of the car's bumper as it approaches the sensor. I chose to use eight LEDs for this project to indicate distance but you can certainly use more or less. When adding more and more components to your Arduino Nano, you may want to consider a separate power supply depending on what components you are adding and the power consumption they require. This was a fun project and there are many different ways to create something like this. For me, it was simple, cheap, and practical.
