A Tree-mendous Bird Rescue! |

Описание: Tree felling is common in cities for various reasons. While the reasons may be logical, every tree felled displaces countless birds. One tree can be an entire ecosystem, and its removal has terrible consequences for its inhabitants.
Over two intense days, our team undertook a rescue mission to save 84 birds perched in a tree slated for removal in a Pune housing society. Among the rescued were 28 pond herons and a flock of cormorants, spanning adults, fledglings, nestlings, and even delicate eggs.
Though we couldn't preserve their nests, every feathered life was carefully retrieved and brought to the RESQ Centre for urgent treatment and rehabilitation. Sorting through this avian influx required meticulous attention to each bird's age, size, weight, and specific medical needs.
Despite the challenges, our efforts hold a promise of renewal and a hopeful return to the wild for these birds. :dove_of_peace:
