Out of Sight, Out of Mind: Living with Hemispatial Neglect Syndrome

Описание: Did you know that brain injuries can impact how you perceive the world? In this video we begin to demystify Hemispatial Neglect Syndrome (HNS) — a neurological condition which affects one’s ability to pay attention to one side of their world, body, and environment. This can significantly impact an individual’s daily life, often without them realizing it. We hope to immerse viewers in the world of HNS, illustrating real-life challenges caused by this under researched condition. To help conceptualize this condition, we use a first-person perspective. You will learn about what may cause it, common symptoms one may experience, along with the diagnostic and treatment process. By spreading awareness of HNS, we hope to encourage
further research and a deeper understanding of this often-overlooked syndrome.
