David Murray, Founder/ Head Designer at Dehradun Guitar Company, discusses our latest build, the SJ Offset. We've been working on a design that addresses the age-old problems of a stressed soundboard and varying action height. We've built our first prototype that negates the soundboard stress, by using a pass-through bridge and a tailpiece, along with a couple of carbon fiber rods bridging the head block and the tail block, creating a structural loop. This should stop the guitar from changing geometrically and would negate the need of a neck reset. We will be coming out with commercial models soon, so keep an eye on our social media platforms.
