Synopsis – The Signal
Rex has always been obsessed with UFOs and aliens, convinced they’re out there watching us. He spends his nights scanning the skies and posting wild theories online until one night, they actually show up. But when Rex finally gets the close encounter he’s always dreamed of, he realizes he might not be ready for the ride. The Signal is a funny short film about believing in something a little too much... and what happens when your dreams beam back.
Shot entirely on the Blackmagic PYXIS 6K, The Signal was created as a camera test that turned into something more a cinematic experiment in mood, mystery, and visual storytelling.
This short scene explores tension and atmosphere through light, sound, and composition. Whether you see it as a test or a short film, the goal was simple: to push the new camera and have fun creating.
