Zohrabai Agrewali (1868 - 1913) was one of the greatest women singers of our subcontinent. Little is known about her except that she was the disciple of Mehboob Khan (Daraspiya) of the Agra Atrauli Gharana.
The doyen of Agra Gharana, Faiyyaaz Hussain Khan, (son in law of Mehboob Khan - Daraspiya), was a great admirer of Zohrabai's artistry.
One can hear the artist mention her name at the end of the recording. A practice, during those days.
