The Komodo dragon, also known as the Komodo monitor, is a member of the monitor lizard family Varanidae that is endemic to the Indonesian islands of Komodo, Rinca, Flores, and Gili Motang
Reaching up to 10 feet in length and more than 300 pounds, Komodo dragons are the heaviest lizards on Earth
During their stay they visit a live aboard and stay in the Hotel ‘Loccal Connection’ who’s architecture reminds you of the Greek Island of Santorini – the concept of the hotel is that the materials and staffing should be sourced locally and that the materials are sustainable and a fair trade policy to the villages and economy of where the produce is purchased
