Yunus also addressed the deteriorating diplomatic ties between Bangladesh and India, particularly after Hasina's departure. He called on India to send Hasina back to Bangladesh to face trial and expressed personal disappointment over the strained relationship between the neighboring countries. He emphasized the importance of a strong Bangladesh-India bond, citing the deep cultural and geographical ties between the two nations.
