Congress MP and Lok Sabha LoP Rahul Gandhi on Thursday reiterated his charge that Union Home Minister Amit Shah appeared “nervous” and used “foul language” during his Lok Sabha speech on electoral reforms. Gandhi said Shah’s “trembling hands” and “lack of answers” showed he was under “mental pressure.” He added that despite openly challenging Shah to debate the issues raised in his three press conferences on alleged “vote chori,” the home minister “offered no proof.” The two leaders clashed after Gandhi repeatedly interrupted Shah’s speech, prompting Shah to state that the House would not run according to Gandhi’s wishes, escalating tensions in an already heated session.
