When you walked through the doors of The Pink Store, which has been there for over 25 years, your senses are almost assaulted with all the amazing, colorful art! The owners, Ivonne and Sergio Romero, travel extensively throughout Mexico to bring back art from small villages and big towns. Â Some big name artists are represented, such as Mario Lopez who can also be found in the Museum of Mexican Art in Chicago. Â To me, the store definitely specializes in pottery from many areas of Mexico, including Mata Ortiz pottery and colorful Talavera and Talavera-style pottery. Â LOTS of Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) art could be found.
