With the success of the miniseries (1983) it was decided to continue the story of 'Return to Eden' as a weekly series. Though it aired in 1986 the time jump was a bit longer: seven years. Jilly, the scheming mistress, is out of jail and becomes the Alexis Colby of the story. Though it had a generous amount of soapy twists plus a touch of humor, it didn't get renewed. The cliffhanger ending was later edited for reruns and overseas showings to include new footage wrapping-up the plots. Once again Brian May delivered the goods with a theme any primetime soap would be proud to call its own. Stereo sound courtesy soundtrack album.
