** The Budokan 2012 Jewelry Box Concerts were of major significance for T-ARA. FIRST: The "Scandal" occurred less than a week afterwards, and while events at Tokyo didn't directly lead to the 'Scandal', they had to have contributed in some way
But some of the other ITEMs are:
** Last 2 shows of the Japan Jewelry-Box tour, both nights July 25-26, 2012 Sell out in the biggest place T-ARA had ever played before
** ALL 9 Members of T-ARA performed onstage at this show {T-ARA, Hwayoung, Areum, & Dani}
** ALL 8 Regular Members of T-ARA performed Day-by-Day together for the first and only time in public
** Hwayoung {#7} had injured her leg a few days prior to these shows. Her name & pictures were featured in the opening Video Segments, and she came out onstage in crutches during the first fanchat, and apologized to the audience for only being able to do one song that night.
She came out in a chair with a cast on her ankle, and rapped almost continuously during the song: Day-by-Day. This would be her last public performance with T-ARA, because she would be out of the group in less than a week.
The next day after THIS concert in the video, she performed again rapping while seating during Day-by-Day for the Dry-Run\Camera-Rehearsal, at the Music-Bank but did not perform in the live, on-air performance later
** Areum, the 8th member was brought out onstage during a fanchat, introduced, and then did a solo number with 4 backup dancers. She did a cover of Jessie J's "Price Tag". She also performed in a big way in most of the last half of this concert.
** The newest member {#9}, Dani, who was 'officially' made a member of T-ARA a few months prior, but hadn't really trained much with the group, was summoned up onstage from the middle of the crowd. She briefly spoke to the audience in Japanese and English, and then did a short rap version of the famous pop song: "I'll Be Missing You"
** There is a good review of this show, and Areum & Dani's debut especially@ http://www.dkpopnews.net/2012/07/news...

** ALSO, according to the CEO of CCM/MBK, at the time of this concert T-ARA had 19 permanent Staff Members regardless of what T-ARA was doing. And for THESE 2 SHOWS at the Budokan, there were 230 other staff people that came along with the group
QUOTE: "There are many staff and managers that get paid little to work hard with the stars.
These staff members drive 24 hours and get no sleep with the little pay that they earn. It is because of these staff members hard work that the stars are where they are now.
Many of these staff members sleep together in dorms, with 3-7 people in each dorm."

THIS VIDEO FOCUSES ON THE 3 GIRLS who ultimately didn't make it with T-ARA: Hwayoung, Areum, & Dani
It was a very special night for ALL three of them
For 2 of them, it was their first public performance with T-ARA in a huge Concert Hall, in one of the greatest concerts of all time.
. . . but for the last one, it would be their last T-ARA public performance

I don't have much to say about "the Scandal" because I wasn't there, and I don't know enough about the various incidents to form an intelligent opinion
MY GUESS IS: that ultimately, only about 15-20 people were close enough to those events to know what really went on, AND PROBABLY, some of those people have different opinions anyway.
And everything else is just 'hearsay'.
BUT HERE ARE TWO PRETTY SOLID, WELL-ESTABLISHED FACTS:
1) The CEO of CCM/MBK has stated VERY PUBLICLY, that the reason that Hwayoung's contract was terminated is because she refused to perform with the group at the show, where she had already done the Dry-Run\Camera-Rehearsal at the Music-Bank show back in Korea on July 27th, the day after this Concert.
2) The CEO met with Hwayoung, and her parents before he announced anything
3) Neither Hwayoung or her family have ever disputed that statement 'that she refused to perform'
Now there are rumors swirling around saying that she 'wanted to perform' but CCM/MBK wouldn't let her.
I wasn't there, but again, my guess is that if those rumors were true, and she WAS ordered to "Stand-Down" and not perform, then I would expect that she and her family would be calling out the CEO as a liar, and to my knowledge they have never done so

It is my humble opinion that the Scandal is no longer relevant. IMHO, they are no longer that popular in Korea, because they are no longer putting out GREAT MUSIC like they used to.
