Playing the tune "Band Aid" while putting my brand new lacquer Bach Stradivarius 183G Flugelhorn through its paces! This has the gold brass (G) bell and is very mellow. One of the things they have done on the recent ones is to add braces to the leadpipe and valve casing connection points vs just soldering the bell directly at those locations. The horn seems to resonate better and has a bottom seam (6-o'clock) that lines up with the biggest brace so it is free to resonate. Great sound and feel! People should check these out!
