▶ The 2nd Agreement Don't Take Anything Personally is about understanding that NOTHING others do is because of you. Ruiz states that what other do or what they say is solely a projection of their own reality, their own dream. He also advices to work towards becoming immune to the opinions of others, he says then you won't be the victim of needless suffering.

The 4 Agreements was an often requested book and I think I would never have picked it up if you guys had not recommended it to me mainly because of the full name of the book: The 4 Agreements - A Practical Guide to Personal Freedom a Toltec Wisdom Book.
The first time I read this title I thought it is one of these esoterical / new age self-help books which I usually only pick up from time to time and also read with a lot of skepticism but the 4 agreements turned out to be different.
In my opinion, Don Miguel Ruiz wrote a book about modern linguistics and surprisingly based it on many interesting philosophical concepts like how language creates our belief system and therefore our personal reality that each of us uses to interact with the world so to speak. Usually, books about this topic feel very dry but not this one he managed to never let you feel that this is actually a scientific text. He made it so that it is a fun and fascinating read and something that you will be thinking of for some time.
Reading it felt like a little journey and I tried to also give this mini-series that intriguing, inspiring, thought-provoking feeling that I got when reading the 4 Agreements.
