“The Rumble of the Panic” is the second track from my live acoustic album, recorded at Björling Recital Hall at Gustavus Adolphus College.
This song is about anxiety and the panic that often lives just beneath the surface of daily life.
The title comes from a line by Ernest Becker about “the rumble of panic underneath everything.” When I read it years ago, I knew I’d write this one.
This is the first time I’ve recorded it.
