Finca el Puente: A Story of Friendship, Innovation, and Exceptional Coffee

Tim and Håkon’s third trip together took them to Honduras, where they visited Marysabel Caballero and Moises Herrera – coffee farmers we have now worked with for almost 15 years.

Marysabel is 3rd generation coffee farmer, and together with her husband, Moises, they own and manage over 300 hectares of land, divided in to several small farms near the town Marcala.

Marysabel’s father don Fabio Caballero, is by many regarded as one of the pioneers among high quality coffee producers in Honduras. In the past, the family operated a big wet mill together, where all of their coffees were processed and dried. A few years ago, Fabio decided to retire and sold most of his farms and his part of the wet mill to Marysabel and Moises.

Today, Moises and Marysabel continue to produce some of the finest coffees that Honduras has to offer. For more than a decade, they have achieved many top placements in the Honduras Cup of Excellence with both their Geisha and Catuaí coffees.
