Автівка на фронті для репортера – надважливий елемент, як безпеки, так і комфорту. Лише шлях трасами з центральної України до зони бойових дій – це вже 600-800 кілометрів. А далі починаються розбиті прифронтові дороги, грунтовки, сніг, лід. І тут вже важливо не застрягти, не зіскочити з дороги, виїхати і при цьому не зламатися, і не розбитися.

Часто автомобіль стає офісом на колесах, де матеріал створюється, редагується та публікується. Авто має бути справним, потужним і оснащеним усим необхідним для дорожнього ремонту, для комунікації та для короткого періоду виживання без доступу до цивілізації.

Досвід репортера Frontliner Андрія Дубчака – це практичний досвід здобутий під час подолання вже сотень тисяч кілометрів у відрядженнях на фронт. На жаль, іноді цей досвід здобувається через «недобрі пригоди», як його, так і інших фронтових водіїв.

The car at the frontline is essential for the reporter for safety and comfort. It is only 600-800 kilometers from central Ukraine to the war zone via highways. Then, the broken frontline roads, primers, snow, and ice begin. And here, it is essential not to get stuck, not to jump off the road, to leave, and at the same time not to break down or crash.

Often, the car serves as an office on wheels, where the material is prepared, edited, and published. The machine must be serviceable, powerful, and have everything necessary for road repair, communications, and a short survival period without access to civilization’s benefits.

The experience of Frontliner reporter Andriy Dubchak is practical experience gained during hundreds of thousands of kilometers of trips to the front. Unfortunately, he and other frontline drivers sometimes acquired it through "bad adventures.”

What kind of car should be used? What do you need to have with you for its service? What skills should you acquire? What personal protective equipment should you have?
