Tyler Massey Quartet In Session: Off The Road Sessions

Описание: The Tyler Massey Quartet is a four piece band based in Malvern in the UK. The band came together over weeknight jams, coalescing around a small catalogue of songs written by Tyler Massey, an American guitarist who moved to the UK (along with his transatlantic family) 20 years ago.

Drawn to the style of Worcester's bassist Alex Knight, the two kindred spirits started working together in 2016 and went on to make their first EP American Nightmare (2017).

Before the recording their next effort All The Pretty Lights (2019), another of TM's long-term musical allies, Eric Hej, joined on percussion. Defined by a dose of sardonic humour, the Trio’s gigs in various West Midland venues often sold out. Happily, in 2023, the TMQ line-up was completed by soloist Ralph Jackson on saxophone and flute, another of their frequent Music Night guests.

Armed with a new electric sound (full drum kit, jangly Fender guitar, fearsome bass lines and soaring sax parts) and propelled by some unforgettable new songs written in the 2020s, they found their new sound.

This live video is their first recording as a quartet.
