It is very smart to have a a spare key somewhere near your house so in case you lost your house key you can simply unlock your door with the 3d printed one. It is easy to hide it and it is made of plastic so even the rain or sun can't decompose it for at least 10 years..
The aim of this video is to show you how easy it is to 3d print anything you want(in this case the key) with just a basics of a 2d/3d softwares.
