Sonic Sapphire Level One Demo (Dreams PS5 4K)

This very interesting Sonic demo on Dreams comes with a Tutorial Level and a nice tropical island level. Sonic and Shadow are playable, so I played through the level twice. There's some dreams jank, but it feels nice once you get used to it and the level design makes sure you're able to use all the mechanics throughout its varying branching paths.

First half of the level can be skipped by going right at the start and using drop dash/jump dash to climb the mountain. There's an invisible wall between the beginning and the midpoint of the level, but it isn't very high. If you can scale at least some of the mountain, you can go over the invisible wall. The next problem is getting to the cannon on top of the house. The easiest way is to go over it which you can only do if enough height is gained beforehand. If you fail to get over the house, you can go on the left side of the house and time a jump correctly to homing attack the cannon from under the roof.

The wall run coming out of the cannon works by holding up-left and jump dashing while holding drop dash once you get near the mountain on the left. Mash jump dash and hold drop dash until Sonic/Shadow sticks. It is only faster than playing this section normally if you get Sonic/Shadow to stick to the wall early.

There is a super speed glitch that can be done by mashing jump dash right after coming out of a cannon but the timing is extremely tight and it is very difficult to do. If done correctly, the difference in distance and speed is huge. I did not do it in this video.

Under a minute is possible.
