Maria Grazia Chiuri’s Christian Dior Spring/Summer 2021 collection was presented in a socially distanced tent in the Jardin des Tuileries. The collection reinterpreted the Dior suit through ballooned jackets, elongated tunic-style shirts, and wide trousers, featuring Mediterranean paisley prints. Later looks included boxy trouser and skirt suits that gently emphasized the waist, alongside frilled dresses with light, flowing silhouettes.
The runway was accompanied by stained-glass interpretations of Lucia Marcucci’s 1960s collages, while the sound design featured Roseblood performing Sangu di Rose. The show explored comfort, tailored construction, and layered silhouettes, blending traditional Dior elements with contemporary approaches to form and movement.
