On November 21st 2024, I had a day trip out to Glasgow Prestwick Airport (PIK) to catch what is probably one of the movements of the decade for Scottish aviation! That movement being a United States Air Force Boeing E-3B Sentry, registered as 78-0578. This aircraft was actually supposed to fly from Prestwick over to Bangor International Airport (BGR) 2 days prior on November 19th, along with its sister aircraft, 75-0556, however 78-0578 had to return to Prestwick shortly after takeoff due to a tech issue, so it spent an extra 2 days in Prestwick, which was great news for me as it gave me the opportunity to go film it departing!
