In this video, Sweetwater‘s Mitch Gallagher is joined by Reverend CEO Ken Haas as he plays through and breaks down the key features of the Reverend Charger 290 electric guitar. This rock-solid 6-string boasts a korina body for mellow sounds with far-reaching resonance, perfectly paired with a snappy roasted maple neck and either silky pau ferro or roasted maple for the fingerboard. Reverend 9A5 single-coil pickups in the bridge and the neck deliver that classic P-90 sound with added “oomph“ and clarity, made even better with a Bass Contour knob for additional fine-tuning. Throw in pin-lock tuners, a Pure Tone jack, 10% pots and poly caps, and a treble bleed circuit, and the Reverend Charger 290 is nothing short of a showstopper.
