With new presbytery planning information comes the temptation to try to spread ourselves even more thinly than before. We all have limits to our capacity and gifting, so should we shrink our plans to fit those things? How should we position ourselves in the face of these new challenges and opportunities?
These days offer us opportunities to work together like never before – across presbyteries and within congregations. This season will cause some of us to look more to our colleagues in ministry across an area; for others we’re thinking about our own people in our own congregations.
How do we recognise the potential for collaboration in our situation and what are the best steps to help it happen? How do I develop a good sense of my own capacity and gifting so I know how to position myself in a team? How do we work collaboratively when we are all leaders? How do we develop collaborative vision and plans? How do we shift expectations on me so that we can take our vision forward?
A panel discussion sharing experience, concerns, ideas and vision.
