Progressive Muscle Relaxation (PMR) is a simple, effective practice that helps the body release held tension and allows the nervous system to settle naturally.
In this guided session, you are invited to gently tense and release different muscle groups, supporting a shift from effort and bracing into ease and rest. As the body softens, mental activity often quietens on its own — without force or control.
This practice can be helpful for:
• stress and overwhelm
• anxiety and restlessness
• sleep preparation
• body awareness and grounding
• learning how to recognise and release physical tension
There is no need to visualise, analyse, or “do” anything special. Simply follow the guidance and allow the body to respond in its own time.
You may practise lying down or seated, somewhere comfortable and quiet.
