PO-33 LOFI drum kit 🥁 (incl. sliceable audio samples)

Описание: This is a free (and copyright-free) PO-33 (PO-133) LOFI drum kit. For this lofi drum kit, I created 16 lofi drum samples with plugins such as Addictive Drums 2, Kick 2, Punchbox and Ableton Live stock plugs. I arranged the lofi drum samples in such a way that the slicing algorithm of the PO-33 would store them on the 16 drum pads of a respective drum slot without any problems.

Anyway, all you have to do to get this PO-33 lofi drum kit is follow the on-screen instructions, get an audio cable, play the optimised audio recording and record it (hold record all the way to the end) into your PO-33...that's all, basically. Watch your input levels (as you want to avoid clipping at all costs)!!!

As far as this slicing-algorithm-optimised audio file is concerned, a HUGE shout out goes to PUNKYVAN who showed that it's definitely possible to hack the slicing algorithm of the PO-33 in such a way that you get it to do what you want. Please make sure to check their TR-808 kit. I (quite literally) have been using their TR-808 samples for a couple of years now and I have to say that their kit is super awesome! Thanks for the inspiration to turn these lofi drum samples into a sliceable PO-33 drum kit! Here's the link to their kit:

Anyway, tricking the slicing algorithm into doing what you want it to do isn't as easy as it seems. Quite the contrary, it's REALLY tricky! Most of the time, the drum samples are clicky and all over the place - so it's really just a trial and error thing. However, I found that adding a tiny little transient (placed directly in front of the sample) really works a treat - especially if the algorithm is having a hard time detecting both the start and the endpoint of a sample.
