Ingredients:
Bottle gourd (Lauki) – 1 kg (grated)
Ghee – 4–5 tablespoons
Sugar – 2 cups
Cashews and almonds – 100 g
Cardamom – 5 pods
A little water – 1 glass (for sugar syrup)
Lauki ka Halwa Preparation Method (Step by Step)
Grate the bottle gourd properly.
Wash the grated bottle gourd thoroughly and
boil it for a short time.
After boiling, allow it to cool slightly, then
squeeze it well with your hands to remove excess water.
Keep the squeezed bottle gourd aside.
Now, heat ghee in a pan.
Add cashews, almonds, and cardamom
powder to the hot ghee and fry lightly.
Then add a little water, and once the water
heats up, add sugar and mix well.
After the sugar dissolves, add the squeezed
grated bottle gourd and mix thoroughly.
At this stage, you can also add palakova for
extra taste. Mix it well. (Optional)
Once all the ingredients are well combined,
switch off the stove and let it cool slightly.
Finally, serve the halwa on a plate and enjoy the taste.
