TMC MP Abhishek Banerjee's office was allegedly ransacked and looted by unidentified men. Banerjee shared CCTV footage purportedly showing masked men ransacking the office.

The footage allegedly shows the men fleeing with a television and other electronic equipment. Banerjee accused the BJP of carrying out the attack and called it “political thuggery”.

He questioned whether the Governor, Amit Shah and PM Modi's Office would act on the incident. Police have detained six people for questioning in connection with the alleged break-in.

The investigation into the alleged vandalism and theft is underway.
