Описание: The National Medal of Arts is the highest award given to artists by the United States government honoring the extraordinary accomplishments of those engaged in the creation and production of arts. President Barack Obama presented the awards earlier this month (Sept. 10, 2014) in a ceremony at the White House with recipients ranging from authors and actors to visual artists and philanthropists. Columbus-based artist Ann Hamilton was among eleven who received citations during the ceremony, including actress Sally Field and author Stephen King.
