Depending on your applications and operating conditions, you may be able to change your oil less often. Watch this video to learn about the recommended process for extending your oil drain intervals.
First, choose a new oil drain target:
-A good starting point is 1.5 to 2 times your current interval.
-So, if your current interval is 250 hours, your target might be 500 hours.
Sample the fluid every 100 hours:
-Send the sample to the S•O•S℠ Services lab, analyze the results, and plot the trends.
-If the results are normal, add another 100 hours, sample again and review the results.
-But if you see anything out of the ordinary in your results, stop immediately and fix the problem before continuing.
