From the City to the Clouds | Mount Kaukau, Wellington NZ

Описание: We went for a walk up Mount Kaukau just after Christmas.
I hadn't meant to put out a video for this walk, but the views are so good I couldn't resist!

We started from Khandallah Swimming Pool, and took the south branch of the track on the way up, then the north on the way down.

Arya the helpie Kelpie came along, and she loved it!

I think that this is one of Wellington’s most rewarding walks, climbing quickly above the city with sweeping views of the harbour, as well as the surrounding hill, and rural areas.

This video is a quiet one. A simple reminder that some of the best outdoor moments are close to home, easy to reach, and worth slowing down for.

📍 Location: Mount Kaukau, Wellington, New Zealand
🚗 Access: Drive to Khandallah Swimming Pool
🥾 Walk time: ~45–60 minutes to the summit (I think this is time is debatable! We took the whole afternoon)
