Islamism casts a growing shadow over the UK. Both foreign and homegrown Islamist currents are fueling tension and challenging national stability. Islamist ideologies have taken deep root, disrupting communities and igniting fierce political debate. Their political influence and impact are advancing at every level of society. Bold action is urgently needed and drastic steps must be taken if disaster is to be avoided and this threat turned back. How has Islamism reshaped British society? Can its spread be halted? What must be done to restore unity, security, and social cohesion?
Dominic Green is a historian and columnist. He is a Fellow of the Royal Historical Society and the Royal Society of Arts, and he writes frequently on books and arts for the Wall Street Journal, the New Criterion, The Spectator (U.K.), Standpoint, the Literary Review, and The Oldie. He read for an AM in Jewish Studies at Harvard University, and a PhD in Comparative History at Brandeis University, where he was the Mandel Fellow in the Humanities.
