Описание: This video documents RFI tracked down to a 138 kV transmission line that's located 2.7 miles from W9RE at a heading of 286 degrees. This is the first time that I've tracked RFI down to a high voltage transmission line versus distribution lines and suspect this complicated matters as the transmission line appears to have been acting like a very very very long antenna. Modeling shows multiple lobes and it appears this is what I encountered when listening to the RFI on my cars AM radio on 1710 KHz. I was at least a mile away in a neighborhood with underground lines and I was amazed at how the signal strength would become very strong, then weak, then very strong again as I drove parallel to the direction of the transmission line (I've observed this before, but not to the extent I observed this time). The transmission line had no other hardware besides the insulators supporting it for as far as I could see. It also ran parallel to a much higher voltage transmission line.
