ABOUT THE GRAVITY GRAND PRIX COOKHAM

Cookham Dean is host to the soap box challenge style fundraising event. Multiple custom built karts race downhill competing for the fastest time. Additionally, the event has many fun karts not necessarily designed for speed but for the fun factor. It is all for charity and supports the Thames Valley Air Ambulance.

The event has grown over the years and has become very popular within the local community with thousands of people attending. Gravity Grand Prix is a family event with many attractions on the day which include BBQ’s, Beer tents (for the adults of course), Fairground rides, Bands, Festival Activities and so much more.


HANDMADE GRAVITY KARTS


Thousands flocked to Cookham Dean and lined the streets to watch the handmade gravity powered karts hurtle downhill. This video shows just some of the karts. There were approximately 20 to 30 karts in total. All had 3 runs down the hill.
