BROKE THE RULES!? Crazy Reason My Zenvo is KICKED OFF

Описание: The first EVER track day with my Zenvo TSR-S didn't exactly start as planned! I'm with Selected Car Group at Spa-Francorchamps for my birthday, and not only some laps with the Zenvo, but also my AMG GT Black Series, and joining Tom Kristensen for an exclusive first in the new SCG Cup 900!

We kick off the day at the epic Formula 1 Grand Prix circuit with some warm up laps in the AMG GT Black Series; a car that has actually driven here before but in torrential weather, and in need of some proper laps to see how it gets on. After getting down to a 2:37 with traffic, it's clear that this car could break the 2 and a half minutes barrier, but time to experience something brand new.

The day was hosted by Selected Car Group, who I have previously visited in Denmark and will be visiting again soon, but included a first outing for their brand new SCG Cup 900. Based on a street legal Porsche 911 Turbo S (992), the bodywork is all from the Cup racecar, the inside is as stripped out as could be, there's an enormous wing on the back, and it even runs a set of slicks. Built as an ultimate track day tool by DC Workshop, you can simply adorn a smaller wing and a street legal tyre set, and off you go on the road with TuV approval. To experience it properly, who better than 9 times Le Mans winner, Tom Kristensen, to grab the wheel and push the 900hp 911 around Spa.

Warm-ups complete, it's time for the Zenvo. In 2 years of ownership we've had some great fun at events and rallies with the TSR-S, but I've always been reluctant to head onto a track with it considering the value of the car. However, with an F1 circuit nearly to myself, the time has come to get out there. That is, until half a lap later when the black flags come out... could it be what I think it is?

There's always that moment wondering if you've signed up incorrectly, there's an issue with the car, maybe it's dropping oil, so obviously that means a cruise back around to the pits. This is when I'm told the reason - the marshals have seen the wing moving and thought it wasn't properly attached! Lots of laughs, and no problem later, back out we go - what an epic day.
