Ghandi called for a day of prayer and fasting as native Indians were being denied habeus corpus and being detained without cause by the British government. It was a primary tool he used to protest oppressive British laws. It is in that spirit that people of faith are calling us to a Day of Prayer & Fasting for Truth & Freedom. On this day, we withhold our labor and our dollars to demonstrate our non-compliance with the radical violation of justice being meted out. And we pray -- for an end to ICE occupation and to the brutal treatment of immigrants and protestors. Please join local churches as we come together in prayer.
