This is a process of plating dull metal to protect them from the elements.
it also allows for the item to be polished if desired.

this video will show you what you need to achieve this at home with great results.

you need:
Spirit vinegar
Table Salt
Nickel Plate
Sodium Lauryl Sulphate (SLS)
5V 2 AMP DC Power Supply
Crocodile Clips
Container
