Spec Corvette @ Laguna Seca 8/29/21

Описание: This is race 2 from our 2 race weekend with San Francisco Region SCCA. I'm starting in 4th position in an 11 car Spec Corvette field, with around 30 other out of class cars. Here are some notable moments:

1:42 Craig loses it a bit in 9 then holds Marc down at the apex of 10 to defend.
2:13 Marc makes a move on Craig in 2. Craig holds him tight to the inside.
2:28 Side by side into 3, Craig slides out and forces Marc to scrub speed, allowing me to setup a pass on Marc.
2:33 Marc and I rub wheels on the straight between 3 and 4. I thought I left him enough room but must have pinched him too tight.
5:06 Nose to tail, JC, Craig, me, and Marc, just waiting for someone to make a mistake...
5:57 Dropping 1 in the dirt as I exit 4. Did that a few times this weekend.
8:33 Marc eyes the inside pass, then I almost get screened my 2 Miatas at the exit. Marc races me hard up the front straight, holding overlap until we crest the hill.
9:52 Traffic in the corkscrew
12:36 3 off in 4 in turn 4 and a little rev limiter as the tires spin in the dirt.
13:54 JC gets squirrely in the braking zone of 2. He and Craig snack on a Miata sandwich.
15:40 Does the RX7 see me? I don't think so.
15:50 Outside line around a Miata in 3. Marc gets stuck.
18:08 Lots of traffic up the straight to 7 and into the corkscrew. I get stuck behind a Miata.
19:34 Craig slides through 5 and I get a run up the hill to 6. He takes a defensive line, then moves back to the right a little. Not egregious, but it kind of blocky.
21:15 Craig makes an error at the entry to 5. I'm able to sneak inside for the pass. He attempts to pinch me down to the inside but I hold my line and we make light contact. Oddly, he turns in again and we make contact a second time.
21:28 Side by side into 6, I'm able to hold more speed with the apex compression and complete the pass.
23:44 Uh oh. 2 cars side by side through 11 and Craig is hot on my tail. I go for the center and hope they open up at the exit.
23:59 White flag. Last lap!
24:07 Defensive line into 2, Craig attempts to take me on the outside but can't make it stick.
25:02 Chasing Craig Walker into the corkscrew, he stays wide to allow the pass.
25:41 Checkered flag! 2nd place!
